These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI Prompt Championship website at aipromptchamp.com and participation in our events, operated by Wichita Esports LLC dba AI Prompt Championship ("we," "us," or "our").

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, creating an account, or registering for an event, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or participate in our events.

Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information (name, email, organization)
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or disable accounts that contain false information or are used in violation of these Terms.

Competition Rules

When participating in AI Prompt Championship competitions, you agree to the following:

• AI tools are permitted and encouraged -- our competitions are designed around the use of AI. You may use any publicly available AI tools, models, and platforms during challenges.
• Fair play -- you must complete challenges yourself (or with your registered team). Impersonating another participant, submitting work completed by someone not on your team, or attempting to interfere with other participants' work is prohibited.
• No unauthorized access -- you may not attempt to access challenge data, scoring systems, or administrative tools beyond what is provided to you as a participant.
• Judges' decisions are final -- submissions are evaluated by human judges and AI judges across five scoring dimensions. The final scores and rankings determined by the judging panel are not subject to appeal.
• Curveball challenges -- organizers may introduce surprise data changes or constraints mid-competition. Participants are expected to adapt. This is a feature of the competition format, not an error.

Intellectual Property

Your submissions remain your intellectual property. By submitting work through our platform, you grant AI Prompt Championship a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

• Display your submissions on our website and at events (e.g., leaderboards, highlight reels)
• Use submissions in promotional materials for the Championship (e.g., social media, recaps)
• Archive submissions for historical and educational purposes

We will credit you by your display name when showcasing submissions. You may request removal of your submissions from promotional use by contacting us.

All website content, branding, logos, and event materials are the property of Wichita Esports LLC and may not be reproduced without permission.

Code of Conduct

All participants, attendees, speakers, and staff are expected to:

• Treat all participants, judges, organizers, and volunteers with respect
• Refrain from harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind
• Respect the venue, equipment, and shared resources at events
• Follow the instructions of event organizers and staff

Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from an event, without refund, for conduct that violates this code or disrupts the event. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent bans from future events.

Limitation of Liability

Our website and events are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Specifically:

• We do not guarantee availability of prizes, sponsorships, or specific outcomes from participation
• We are not liable for technical issues during competitions, including but not limited to API downtime, network failures, or scoring system errors
• We are not responsible for any loss of data, submissions, or work resulting from technical failures
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the website or participation in events is limited to the amount you paid to us (currently zero, as events are free)

Email Communications

By creating an account or registering for an event, you agree to receive:

• Transactional emails -- registration confirmations, application status updates, and account-related notifications. These are necessary for the services you requested and cannot be opted out of.
• Event updates -- announcements about upcoming events, schedule changes, and competition details relevant to events you have registered for.
• Drip campaigns -- pre-event information sequences with logistics, preparation tips, and event details. You may unsubscribe from these at any time.

Every non-transactional email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to manage your email preferences.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or pose a risk to other users or the integrity of our events. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at contact@aipromptchamp.com.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts located in Sedgwick County, Kansas.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or participation in events after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
